Penguin Revolution
Vampire Knight
Fairy Cube
Code Geass
Fairy Tail

Your challenge...

Is to do what ever you want with these first chapters *be it just one series or from how ever many you choose*. Remember these are first chapters so for those of you who know more about these series, do not spoil fellow users, that is the hard part. To draw in without giving to much away, be it just icons or a full fanfic do your best. This is for those that want to get their brain moving and have time on their hands. This is just the start point let us see how you finish it, Good luck.

On Parables [03 Apr 2006|04:02pm]

[ mood | creative ]

And here's our new game, mmkies, kitties? I tell you a story (not my own, 'cause I wanna play too~) and you guys tell me a short story back, okies? Doesn't have to be long- a drabble posted as a response to this post would be good enough. 100 words would be good enough. But give me a story that came from this selected story I give you.

Before the Law by Franz Kafka, taken from 'The Trial'Collapse )

Now, kittens, whatever it was you felt while reading this passage~ it's now your turn to write something, anything, that resembles this in any way. Does this remind you of something else? Anything?

Another challenge for your creativity to unfold! [05 Mar 2006|06:14pm]

[ mood | artistic ]

Hello kittens!

Wow, we haven't done much for about half a year, have we? I suppose everyone has their reasons from a range of feeling uncreative to not having enough time to having forgotten all about the community! (Perhaps all of that, too!)

But I do hope that everyone's been keeping up on their writing/artwork/etc lately! The challenges are back again, and this time (hopefully) to stay!

The challenge for this week is (do your best, cats!):
See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.

Good luck, everyone! (みなさま, 幸運!)
(Ahaha.. ^^;; Watch me at my horrible self-learned Japanese...)

Hello? Anybody here? [12 Nov 2005|09:53pm]

[ mood | sleepy ]

Despite working part time and having essays due all the time, I managed to write something. No, it is not a response to the challenge posted over a month ago.... sadly. This little story reuses some characters from another story (roughly 15,000 words) I wrote last year. Why create new characters when I can explore the ones already living in my head and develop them further? And yes... I realize it's quite similar in style to story I already posted to this community.

The Start of Breakdown (stolen from a Tears For Fears song and having nothing to do with the song)
2,123 words
Original Fiction

I can't understand youCollapse )

CHALLENGE #5 [30 Sep 2005|10:47am]

[ mood | devious ]

It's a FRIDAY! :D Sorry about the missing challenge last week, but my excuse is that my computer is GONE and I still don't have one. *emo tear* So I've been pretty absent lately.

But this week's challenge involves the idea of SWAPPING. Switching two things... you can put characters through a gender-bender, exchange clothing, relations, friends, crossovers... things like that. Maybe someone swapped gifts by accident and a situation ensues, or you have a Freaky Friday makeover.

Graphics people? This is a chance for creativity! We've all seen cut-and-paste pictures, now's your chance to make it look like a pro or just make it look really bad but funny. ^^;;

[ mood | aggravated ]

Bizarre Love Triangle by Saturnine Rate PG-13/R 3,561 words (yes I stole the title from the song by New Order, no, the story has nothing to do with the song)

Fifth attempt to submit story stupid LJCollapse )

A kitten fic! [16 Sep 2005|11:02pm]

1 cat stuck in the tree
2 surprising moments (Ed tripping, Winry freaking out.)
3 articles of clothing (jacket, socks, shoes)
5 interruptions (writing-wise? There are way too many interruptions to the story flow. XD;; )
and 1 cupful of fluff / 2/3 teaspoons of sap

(Ed and Winry are eight, Al is seven.)

FMA gen; over 2800 words involving Ed, Al, and Winry as children sneaking out during the night to rescue a kitten fic that I have no title for.Collapse )

This week's challenge: love [16 Sep 2005|08:56pm]

[ mood | very, very tired ]

The very easy theme this week, since last week's as so constrained, is: love. Cliched and unoriginal, maybe, but you're allowed to take this any way you want: family love, friends love, true love, love of material items, etc. It can be angsty, fluffy, sappy, funny, or anything you can come up with.

And since this might make people go, "Well, that's not much of an initiative," I'll add (for those who want to include it) that you explain your definition of love in your story, drawing, or graphics. Don't just create a scene, create a poignant scene.

Weekly challenge #3 [09 Sep 2005|11:40am]

[ mood | hungry ]

Am doing this early 'cause I plan on collapsing in the afternoon, and then getting my act together to write. A little pissed 'cause university has free lunch, but the lineup takes forever and I can't decide whether I'm more hungry or tired.

Where were our challenge two people? *blows raspberry*

Anyway, this week's challenge is a scene. Kind of like a writing/drawing recipe!
1 cat stuck in the tree
2 surprising moments (for the character, or not. Doesn't matter.)
3 articles of clothing
5 interruptions
and 1 cupful of fluff / 2/3 teaspoons of sap

Stir well, and let's hopefully come up with something from everyone for this challenge, ne?

In response to Shamera's challenge #2 [03 Sep 2005|04:42pm]

I wanted to write the 3 day novel, only I realized that I spent the entire afternoon just writing a measly 1,501 words

The Tale of The Cowardly King by Saturnine rated G (it's a fairy tale, after all)

Weekly Challenge #2 [02 Sep 2005|04:02pm]

[ mood | dorky ]

...hey, look, it's Friday again! :D Any last minute responses (don't think we'll have any, though) to the last challenge will have to be posted before midnight tonight!

The challenge this week is: fairy tales

I don't care how you incorporate those themes, or which fairy tales you use. Make it funny, rewrite it, make it romantic or dark or sexy; doesn't matter. There are hundreds of fairy tales out there to use, after all.

Terms sometimes used on the community [29 Aug 2005|10:09pm]

[ mood | blah ]

the_spy suggested that I post the commonly used terms in fanfiction, and I figured that it was a very good idea; it's ostentatious to think that everyone knows what internet g33ks means when they start speaking their "lingo", after all. ^^;;

I know that I haven't listed everything, and it's always amusing to learn new terms, so add all the things I missed, ne?

Slang becomes a different language at some point...Collapse )

informal drabble challenge: intoxicated [29 Aug 2005|09:53pm]

[ mood | devious ]

...I will respond to everyone tomorrow, since I spent today doing worldbuilding. ^^;; I was going to do this after I finished the weekly challenge response, but why not? It's already Monday night, and we aren't only about weekly challenges, after all.

So here's a small informal challenge for ya'll. Hopefully everyone will participate on this even if they have to squeeze the words out, LOL.

The word is: intoxicated

Write 100-200 words not as a new post, but just as a comment to this entry. Don't overdo it! It's just a drabble challenge, after all. ^___^

Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold.Collapse )

Edit: sorry didn't insert a rating. I think it's PG-13/R for disturbing images?

Weekly Challenge #1 [26 Aug 2005|10:12pm]

[ mood | chipper ]

...it is still Friday, so I am not late. XD;;

So this is the first of the weekly challenges you'll get! :D Go ahead and write a fic, doodle something, or post an icon here in correspondence. ^____^-

This week's challenge (And I'm hoping for most responses to be in before Monday, although the challenge isn't over until next Friday) is taken from The Second Coming by W. B. Yeats:

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all convictions, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

This is all your own interpretation, of course. If you're making icons, then please either base your theme off the poem or include three consecutive words from it.

Have fun, kittens!

first post/icon dump [26 Aug 2005|09:25pm]

[ mood | rushed ]

Hello all! I have a bunch of icons that I made while in a slump of other things. XD;; And yes, I've reuploaded them to photobucket, so bandwidth shouldn't be a problem anymore. Hopefully.

30 icons to blind you (back at my LJ)

Comments appreciated! XD
